I’m SO excited for the Kate Spade New York: Things We Love Book to come out on next week!!! Fashion and accessory porn at it’s finest!!

“within the four walls of kate spade new york, personal style is applauded and cultural curiosity is encouraged. long before the days of pinboards and social sharing, the brand’s in-house creative team began amassing a collection of things we love on their website: a crayon ring, a cocktail doodle, a particularly dreamy photograph.

people began visiting and chiming in with suggestions. now, the things we love have come to life in celebration of the brand’s 20th anniversary. each of the book’s 20 chapters is filled with things we love—from the color red to a well-placed bow to a sense of humor and handwritten notes. part visual diary, part inspirational reference and sprinkled throughout with playful tips and practical advice, things we love is a beautiful compilation that visually represents the spirit of kate spade new york—a place where the colors are bold, smart design is key and fashion is fun.”

I WANT: Jason Freeny’s CAPSL Key Fobs

I don’t need one of these CAPSL’s by Jason Freeny, but I REALLY, REALLY WANT ONE!!! My favorites are the 3-Eyed Squid & Brain Squid  (last image).

“You’ve probably purchased a pill fob key chain from the convenience store or got one for free in a swag bag, but never gave it much thought. Artist and toy designer Jason Freeny has set out to inject some collectable pizazz into this average item. His CAPSLs are customizable containers created with an illustrative eye.”

A Little Chevron In My Life

This is my attempt at nail art….I figured start with a classic Chevron pattern and work my way up to the more advanced patterns. I always feel like I’m way behind the trend whenever I try these things….I think it is kinda cute? My soon to be sister-in-law posted some really cute nail art ideas on her Pinterest page. I’m feeling inspired to be more adventurous after seeing these designs.

Patterned Pants Trend: Yay or Nah?

I think I’m liking the patterned pant trend…but I’m a little scared to actually buy a pair. We were shopping the other day and I picked up a pair of floral jeans and before I could finish asking “Am I too old to wear these?” JB blurted out “YES.” He later clarified that he just didn’t like that particular pair. Good save!!

Yes, no…maybe so? There are a few pairs at Urban Outfitters that I kinda like..but they’re pretty crazy and remind me a little to much of my childhood. Did anyone else go through a crazy denim and leggings phase in grades 5& 6? Maybe I just need to find the right pair to match my personality and age.
