Bouchon – Beverly Hills

Last night, we ate at Bouchon with our friends “D” and S”. Since it’s Dine LA Restaurant Week, we chose from a three course, price fixed menu. The food was excellent, and I the restaurant atmosphere was very cozy and inviting. My selections were: Short Ribs to start, Roasted Chicken as my main, and SUPER yummy Creme Caramel to finish. We were all really stuffed by the end.

Ca Phe Da – Vietnamese Iced Coffee

Everytime JB and I vist Gingergrass in Silverlake, I’m curious about their iced coffee. I was at Cost Plus World Market, yesterday and picked up one of the metal brewers for JB. We’re going to try to make it a home this weekend. Yummy!

Rainy Day

All I want to do when it rains, is cozy up with some coffee and snuggle at home. This would be my perfect rain day:

Sleep in until about 10:00am, wake-up put my slippers on and then make some coffee, while coffee is brewing I would run myself a hot bubble bath, then I would grab some coffee and soak in the tub for a while. The rest of the day would entail reading my favorite blogs, listening to some rainy day tunes (Adele or some KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic), maybe do some crafts….and an afternoon snooze with Dottie would make the day complete.

Doesn’t that sound like a perfect day?

Oh, and the photo is of the new hanging Woolly Pocket on our balcony.

Mollie Makes is my new favorite crafting magainze. Based in the UK, the magazine has such great ideas and crafting projects. If only the magainze wasn’t $11.99 per issue. Why can’t the US have more great crafting magazines?
